Early start today we wanted to get well towards Port Augusta before the end of the day. Quick pic and then onto Border Village for breakfast
We said goodbye to WA after four days getting to this point. As we headed across we took advantage of the various lookout points along the Bight. Amazing views, clear water but no whales. We had a chat to a couple that had seen whales the day before but the wind was a northerly and they were closer to the coast. Of course he had Land Rover stories from his time in the Army, so an easy chat as we check the oils.
We left the coast and slowly the country changed again to more rolling hills and then into the edge of the cropping zone of the Eyre Peninsular. Again in and out of showers of rain before we got to Ceduna for the quarantines check. After a look at the map we decided to get to Kimba for the night.
We rolled in at 6:30pm – 800km day and 11 hours.
